Nikolaos Gourgouletis
Nikolaos Gourgouletis is a PhD Candidate in the Department of Water Resources and Environmental Engineering of the School of Civil Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens. He holds a Diploma in Civil Engineering and a MSc in Water Resources Science and Technology from NTUA.
His research is concentrated on Water Resources Management, Remote Sensing and Water Accounts. He is experienced in hydrological analysis, hydraulic and flood modelling, environmental and social impacts assessment and Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Also, he has extensive knowledge of the national and European legislation over the water and environmental fields.
He has consulting experience in the environmental and water sector. Specifically, he has been involved in significant projects, including mining and the implementation of the EU Floods Directive (2007/60/EC) in various countries. He has co-authored articles in peer-reviewed journals and participated in international scientific conferences.
