Marita Bertsiou
Marita Bertsiou is a PhD Candidate in the Department of Water Resources and Environmental Engineering of the School of Civil Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). She holds a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Patras, an MBA in Techno – Economics Systems (NTUA) and a MSc in Water Resources Science and Technology (NTUA). She works since 2007 as a Mechanical Engineer in electromechanical and environmental projects. Her research, funded by the Hellenic Foundation for Research and Innovation (HFRI), is concentrated on Renewable Energy Sources (RES), Water Resources Management, Hybrid Renewable Energy systems, Wind Pumped Hydro Storage (PHS) systems, Energy Storage systems, RES based Desalination. She has co-authored articles in international peer-review journals, has participated in international conferences and is a reviewer in two scientific journals.
